As a new character, you havent spent your starting experience points, that means your character cant do anything really yet.
Well just follow these steps to distribute your Starting Character Points:
Step Number One: Choose 2 or 3 skills to start off with by clicking onto "Profile" on the top right corner of your screen.

Choose the 2 or 3 skills of your choice, these are:
| The Six Basic Skills | |||
- Melee – Allows you to use close combat weapons, sucha as swords, hammers, and katanas
- Range – Allows the use of long distance weapons, such as pistols, crossbows and shurikens
- Psynet – Allows you to improve you communication skills with other players, and to claim and conquest lands.
- Personality – Lets you use special cards called “Techniques”, sort of magic like powers to slow down, weaken or paralyze opponents, or to hasten and protect your allies.
- Equipment – Buy this skill if you plan to rely heavily on defense. This skills allows you to use shields, helmets and other protections.
- Crafting – Buy this skill to be able to craft wonderous items and weapons.
Step Number Two: Once chosen 2 or 3 skills, raise your weapon skill (If you chosen a weapon skill) to level 5 to be able to use a weapon and raise your Hit Points to at least 20 to have a safe start. The rest of the experience points is up to you to decide what to do.
After I finished choosing skills, HP, etc... what do I do now ?
the first thing to do is to make the starting area your in as your homeland. To do that just click on "Land" and click on "Make Homeland Here" and wait 10 minutes till you can move again.
OK now I'm all set, what do I do now ?
Now depending on what career you chose to be follow these tips :
Warrior : A warrior type is used in combats against other players or MOBS so the 1st thing you do is to mine several crystals and sell them in a crystal shop to earn Energy (BRO standard currency / a.k.a $$$) then ask crafters of your faction to make a weapon for you to equip.
Once you have your 1st weapon now be in your starting area and click on "Combat" . Then after that click MOB tab to get a list of names in purple, those are MOBS. Click on "Training Dummy" and attack it to get XP for your combat xp.
Social : A Social type is a leader, someone who organizes his/her troops and ensures everyone knows the current plans. A social also is in charge of claiming the land, as well as inciting revolts to take other's lands. AS a social character, you should start chatting with people in the general chat, try to send neuronodes to everyone you meet along the way to earn social experience.
Crafter : A crafter type is used to mine a lot of crystal and make cards from blueprints. Crafters only job is to assist his/her faction by making weapons and others cards to assist them.
I'm not familiar with the lands of the game
Here's a quick guide of which land has what :
Blueprint Shop : A shop where you can buy blueprint to make a card or sell it for energy.
Crystal Shop : A shop where you can buy or sell crystals
The above shop can be found here : Gaia Heart (Mythics Coreland) / The Vault (Promethean Coreland) / Splinter of Ramiel (Unliving Coreland) / Shokan Lake (Neutral City / Traders City)
Card Shop : A shop where you can buy or sell an already made card from a blueprint at a fixed price.
Auction House : A place where players can sell or buy cards at the price you or other players put.
The above shop can be found here : Aien Wood (Mythics Territory) / Biodome (Promethean Territory) / Blight Land (Unliving Territory) / Shokan Lake (Neutral City / Traders City)

If I have a suggestion to improve the game game where do I post my idea ?
You can post it here in this section of the forum : http://forum.brokenrealityonline.com/index.php/board,2.0.html .
I found a site showing that I could earn more PP for less $$$ then here. Is that true ?
No, all site outside of this game that offers cheaper price for PP are obviously scammers. Do not buy anything from that site and report to the admins of this game immediately.
Is there anything I can do to help this game ?
Yes there is :) , you could recruit more people into the game to enjoy with them and help support this game by donation. Each recruit you invite will reward you with fine free PP.
New Player Protection
For absolute beginners one of the most important pieces of information to have is about your New Player Protection (NPP).
You will have this protection for 7 days, and during this time UNLESS YOU ATTACK A PLAYER, no one except another new player in protection can attack you. So you are relatively free to travel the lands, to stop and look around, to learn the layout of BRO land... take advantage of this freedom.
But take note of a VERY IMPORTANT THING about your NPP... when it runs out you will be fair game to every player you ever killed who remembers it!!!
New players often will kill offline players in order to gain experience, many play this way, and many do not. The consensus is out on how 'right' this is, but it happens. The previous War Season newbies had no choice, in order to gain combat xp they HAD to attack other players, and since you were new, you attacked offliners... so you would not get attacked back.
But this War Season BRO introduced MOBs, these are combat trainers/practice dummies that new players (as well as experienced ones) can gain combat xp. So offline kills aren't necessary. But some find them more fun and interesting!
Here is the danger... if you kill enough offliners, you will have what we affectionately call a "bulls eye" on your back... people will begin to count down your NPP timer for you!! Every time you kill a player that kill is posted in general chat, and everyone sees it. So if you are an Unliving, and you are in the Mythic Aein Woods, they will see you killing their players, and when they open up the kill it will say it is an "offline" kill.
And when a player who is not under NPP tries to hit you they will be told that you are still under NPP, and for how long... Soon enough, you will have everyone WAITING for your NPP timer to run out... it can make for an interesting game. Some players take it a bit more personal and will vow to kill you on sight every time they see you! Yes, the game can get a bit intense!
Once out of NPP you will be hunted, usually for at least a week or two... lol... and i do mean hunted!! Players will go out of their way to hit that bulls eye you are wearing (it is not a literal bulls eye)... after time it will go away, but the question is... do you WANT to be the new target??
Well do ya?? It is all up to you!!
Joining a Guild or Faction
This War Season has brought with it an interesting new option for play: the Guild/Faction... yes you join a faction when you start the game: Promethean, Mythic, Unliving. But once you are in the game you will begin to notice many players now have letters in front of their names...
-
- [BL1] Black Legion 1
- [GOM] Mountain Guardians
- [BoS] Brotherhood of Steel
These are the player created Factions. Any player can be a member of any of the Player created faction, so you will see Mythics and Prometheans in an Unliving faction, such as the Black Legion 1; as well as seeing Unlivings and Prometheans in Mythics, etc...
We recommend that new players TAKE THEIR TIME in deciding which faction to join... use the 7 days of NPP to look around, to watch the play, to learn the players, to find out what each faction thinks and how they play, then find the faction that is best aligned with your style of play!!
If, however, you join a faction and then decide you aren't happy, or that you don't agree with that faction's philosophy or style; you are free to leave the faction, but you will not be allowed to join another faction for 24 hours. (You will get a 24 hour timer).
How can I buy a weapon?
You have to have enough energy corresponding to the amount of the cost of that weapon.
Where can I buy the weapons?
You can ask a crafter to make you one, but if you can not find one try looking at shokan lake trader, and look under the cards or auction. You can also try and visit Aien woods, Biodomes and Blight lands for those traders.
How can I use a weapon/cards?
You can check with other players or if you want to see it for yourself at the blueprint traders, i suggest you take alook at Shokan because most blueprints are there. If you can try you will see that the level needed and what type of skill is needed.
How do I get those energies?
You have to mine crystals, the higher the percentage of the crystals the better they are for trading. After getting those crystals, you can trade it to crystal traders mostly found at the Vault, Splinter of Ramiel, Gaia's Heart and Shokan lake.
But how do I mine?
Equip yourself with a basic or advance pickaxe for mining. Activtate that card and you will mine crystals at lands with crystals.
How do I know if the land has crystals?
Click on the land and when you are on that page, you can see at the bottom left of that page the quality and color of that crystal.
How can I know where my homeland is?
Since you are already on that page(map page), you can see it at the bottom of that page, it indicates where your homeland is.
Can I change my homeland?
Yes by simply going to the land of your choice and click on the bottom of the screen "set homeland Here". But choose carefully, you should know where your factions claimed land are.
So how do I know who claimed the lands?
You can see it on the upper left side of the "map screen" who currently claims the land.
What are the advantages of claiming lands?
The factions who claims those lands can use mining bombs on the land, meaning to say more crystals can be extracted from the land, more crystals=more energy, more energy=more purchasing power.
Now that I have a weapon, How do I use it?
Well in the left top of the screen you have your action bar. You have to put the weapon in the action bar so your are able to use it.
How do I equip it then?
Go to your inventory, and then choose "Cards". There you will find your weapon. Select it by clicking with your mouse´s left button, and then keep pressing and drag it to an empty space of the space that appears in the top of the card screen. Then in the right top of the crads screen you will find a set button. Click on the set button and then it will appear on the action bar. Now you can use it!!!!
