Botball: Getting started

To play your first game of Botball, you begin in the main interface. From there, you can jump right on to Play the game, or stop by the Garage to build your own Bot team. For now, let’s skip the Garage and cut to the chase: Go ahead and click on Play.

The Game Lobby

When you click Play, it takes you to the Game Lobby, where you choose the kind of match you want to enter. You can choose an opponent, free play against a random player or face off against the game’s computer AI. You can also enter a mini-tournament through the game’s Beta Challenge.

To begin playing immediately, click on Free Play. In the screen that comes up, pick your opponent (either the AI or a quick match against a random human user), and then pick the Stadium you want to play in (either the Imperial or Starlight stadium). Once you’ve chosen who and where you’re playing, click on Play.

Ready to Play

Now you’re in the Stadium interface. The computer has randomly picked a premade bot team for you, and you’re ready to face your opponent. As soon as you’re ready to begin, click on the Play button and enjoy!

You can now proceed to A Match, to guide yourself through your first Botball game.
