The Witch Wooden Spoon
When our Lords saw the end of the Uroboros war, they cried to see the suffering of the Mythic people was not finished.
Among other calamities that scourged the regions, the purple claw disease decimated strongly the fairies of Viridian Hall.
Long and dark were the hardships that happened to the adventurers sent to search for a cure. Despite this, their steps led to Aradia the Witch, a kindly sorcerer who lived in the Westerlands, and who agreed to return to Viridian Hall with them.
But the Unliving forces of the Paladin of Ramiel continued prowling, sending their spectral spies; they learned of the disease that was ravaging the fairies. They saw this as an opportunity to give a blow to the Mythic power. They sent an emissary armed with the most powerful Unliving poison, fermented for 10 cycles in the skull of a mutant. On the paths of The Realm the ambassadors roamed, some of salvation and the other of death.
There in Viridian Hall the Mythic powers gathered, while the Paladin of Ramiel’s spy observed.
In light of the red fires Aradia began a spell of the forests, and in a pot she prepared the brew to heal the fairies. Fast, the Unliving spy perched on the tops of the trees from where he poured drop by drop the poison into the brew.
The Unliving hosts never considered that Aradia the Witch had her wooden spoon, a powerful instrument to void any poison or corruption present in brews, potions, food and beverages. Once the mystical wood touched the brew, several dying vermin and vapors came out from it, dispersed by the fresh winds from the valleys.
The brew did not suffer alterations and soon was given to the sick fairies that recovered in the following days.
The Spy from Xibalba fled through the woods, and despite foxes and owls chased him, he managed to escape as a shadow on a moonless night…
